Games to Look Forward to in November 2026: GTA VI, Zelda and More
Grand Theft Auto VI might be November's biggest release, but with Zelda returning, World of Warcraft: Forever launching and several promising indie games on the way, there's plenty more to look forward to this month.

Grand Theft Auto VI might be dominating the conversation, but November has plenty more on the way, from a return to Hyrule to co-op puzzles, strategy games and some promising indie releases.
November has arrived, and it's difficult to talk about anything other than Grand Theft Auto VI.
After years of waiting, multiple trailers and a delayed release, Rockstar's next open-world blockbuster is finally scheduled to arrive later this month. It's easily the biggest release on the calendar, and one that's likely to dominate gaming conversations well beyond November.
But there's more happening this month than a return to Vice City.
Nintendo is revisiting one of the most beloved adventures ever made, Blizzard is taking World of Warcraft back to its roots, and several smaller releases are offering everything from chaotic co-op to roguelike strategy.
We've picked out some of the games worth keeping an eye on throughout November 2026.
World of Warcraft: Forever
Release: 5 November (Australia) | Platforms: PC (Windows), Mac

Blizzard is revisiting the foundations of Azeroth with World of Warcraft: Forever, a new permanent experience designed to sit alongside modern WoW and Classic.
Rather than simply resetting the clock, Forever reimagines the original world with expanded zones, updated classes, new quests and additional race and class combinations. The emphasis is on making the journey through Azeroth meaningful again, with progression, exploration and community sitting at the centre of the experience.
Perhaps the most interesting part is Blizzard's long-term commitment. Forever isn't being positioned as another temporary season or limited event, but as an evolving version of the game intended to grow over time.
For returning players who miss the original sense of discovery, that could be a compelling proposition.
The experience is included with an existing World of Warcraft subscription, although some optional content, including access to the new Skyborne race, requires an upgrade.
Australian timing: Blizzard's global launch on 4 November at 3pm PST translates to 5 November at 10am AEDT.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Release: 5 November | Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
Few games have the reputation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Nintendo is bringing the Nintendo 64 classic back with a full remake for Switch 2.
This isn't simply the original game running at a higher resolution. Nintendo has rebuilt the visuals, refreshed the soundtrack, introduced fully voiced cutscenes and modernised movement and camera controls.
It's an interesting balancing act. Ocarina of Time is remembered so fondly partly because of how it defined 3D adventure games in 1998. Reworking that experience for modern audiences without losing what made it special is no small task.
For longtime fans, it's an opportunity to revisit Hyrule with a fresh perspective. For newcomers, it could be the most accessible way to experience one of gaming's most influential adventures.
Whether the remake manages to capture the same magic remains to be seen, but it's comfortably one of November's biggest releases.
Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School
Release: 5 November | Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
If you're looking for something to play with a friend, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School deserves a look.
The sequel builds on the original game's escape-room puzzles, but moves beyond a series of individual challenges into an explorable campus filled with secrets, characters and interconnected mysteries.
More importantly, cooperative play remains a central part of the experience, with both local and online options.
It's the kind of game where communication is just as important as solving the puzzles themselves. Having another person there to notice something you've completely overlooked can be the difference between an impressive solution and spending twenty minutes staring at the same locked door.
The shift towards a more open environment could give the sequel considerably more room to experiment.
It's also launching directly into Xbox Game Pass, making it an easy option for subscribers looking for their next cooperative game.
Warhammer Survivors
Release: 10 November | Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, Android
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
Warhammer Survivors takes the increasingly popular bullet-heaven formula and drops it into the worlds of Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar.
Developed by Auroch Digital, the team behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, it brings familiar characters, enemies and weapons into a game built around surviving increasingly ridiculous waves of enemies.
It's a straightforward premise, but there's something extremely satisfying about watching a build go from barely surviving to completely overwhelming everything on screen.
We spent some time with Warhammer Survivors during Steam Next Fest, and it was one of the demos that stood out.
The full release promises more than 40 playable characters and over 70 weapons, alongside different environments and increasingly demanding encounters.
For anyone who has sunk hours into Vampire Survivors or similar games, this is absolutely one to watch.
Football Manager 27
Release: 10 November | Platforms: PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, Android, Apple TV (via FM27 Touch)
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
Football Manager 27 is returning with improvements to the interface, match presentation and tactical systems.
Sports Interactive has been outlining changes designed to give players greater control over their clubs, including new tactical adjustments and improvements to navigating the enormous amount of information that comes with managing a football team.
The appeal of Football Manager has always been its ability to turn a single season into a long-running personal story. One more match becomes another transfer window, which becomes another season, and suddenly you've spent an entire weekend rebuilding a lower-league club.
There are several versions arriving this year. The main PC and Mac release is joined by FM27 Console on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, FM27 Mobile through Netflix on iOS and Android, and FM27 Touch through Apple Arcade on supported Apple devices.
The PC and Xbox console editions will also be available through supported Game Pass subscriptions, making it relatively accessible for subscribers interested in giving the series a try.
TANUKI: Pon's Summer
Release: 10 November | Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
Not every November release involves saving the world.
TANUKI: Pon's Summer follows a delivery-riding tanuki named Pon, who spends his summer cycling between towns, meeting residents and completing jobs to raise money for a local shrine.
The game combines BMX riding, package deliveries, activities and town exploration, with a colourful presentation and a decidedly more relaxed atmosphere than most of this month's releases.
There are four towns to explore, each drawing inspiration from locations across Japan, and the broader objective is to prepare the shrine for an upcoming festival.
It looks like a welcome change of pace in a month dominated by sprawling open worlds and increasingly elaborate combat systems.
It's also coming to Xbox Game Pass on release day, giving subscribers another reason to take a look.
9 Kings — Version 1.0
Release: 12 November | Platform: PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store)
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
9 Kings has already been available in Early Access, but November marks its full 1.0 launch.
The game blends roguelike progression, card-based strategy, kingdom building and automated battles into an experience where increasingly absurd combinations are part of the appeal.
You gradually develop your kingdom using buildings, units and abilities, then attempt to survive attacks from rival rulers. The combinations can become ridiculous, which is precisely where much of the fun comes from.
The full release expands the experience with additional cards, modes and content developed throughout Early Access.
It's an easy game to overlook alongside the month's bigger names, but for players who enjoy experimenting with builds and discovering unexpectedly powerful strategies, 9 Kings could be one of November's more interesting releases.
The full release will also be available through PC Game Pass.
Grand Theft Auto VI
Release: 19 November | Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S
If playback doesn’t start, press Play in the player or use Watch on YouTube below.
And then there's Grand Theft Auto VI.
More than a decade after Grand Theft Auto V first arrived, Rockstar is finally returning to Vice City, this time following Jason and Lucia through the fictional state of Leonida.
Everything shown so far points towards another enormously ambitious open-world experience, with Rockstar building on its reputation for detailed environments, memorable characters and worlds that feel alive beyond the main storyline.
The question isn't really whether GTA VI will be popular. It's whether Rockstar can meet the extraordinary expectations that have built up around it.
The series has always had a remarkable ability to make simply existing in its world entertaining. Driving around, exploring unfamiliar areas or getting distracted by something completely unrelated to the next mission can be as memorable as the story itself.
Whether GTA VI can take that feeling further is one of the biggest questions surrounding its release.
For PC players, there's an important catch: Rockstar has only announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions for launch. There's currently no confirmed PC release date.
November 19 is going to be a significant day for the gaming industry, regardless of whether you're planning to play it immediately.
A Busy Month for Nintendo Switch 2
Beyond Zelda, Nintendo Switch 2 is also receiving several established games in new or enhanced editions.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition arrives on 5 November, bringing its action combat and previously released additional content to Nintendo's console. The game is already available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
Metaphor: ReFantazio follows on 12 November, giving Switch 2 owners access to Atlus' acclaimed fantasy RPG, previously released on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
Pikmin 4 also receives a dedicated Switch 2 edition on the same day, alongside the new Dandori Academy content, building on its original Nintendo Switch release.
These aren't entirely new games, but their arrival gives Nintendo players more ways to experience some excellent existing releases.
November Has More Than One Game Worth Playing
Grand Theft Auto VI will almost certainly take up most of the oxygen this month. Given the anticipation surrounding it, that's understandable.
But November's release calendar has a little more variety than its biggest headline suggests.
There's an opportunity to return to classic Azeroth, revisit Ocarina of Time, lose an evening to increasingly ridiculous Warhammer builds or spend a few hours solving puzzles with friends.
And while the biggest releases are easy to spot, games like 9 Kings and TANUKI: Pon's Summer are exactly why it's worth looking beyond them.
Whatever ends up dominating the conversation, there's plenty worth playing this November.
