Editorial Policy

What we cover

It Runs Fine covers gaming news, announcements, patch notes, updates, deals and free games, PC gaming and hardware, industry developments, independent games and developer commentary. We write for a global audience while bringing an Australian perspective to pricing, availability and release dates where relevant.

Editorial responsibility

Our coverage is produced under human editorial oversight. An It Runs Fine editor reviews and approves each article before its first publication. Editorial decisions, including which stories to cover, which sources to rely on and what to publish, remain our responsibility.

Automation and AI assistance

We may use automated tools and AI to assist with research organisation, drafting and editorial preparation. Where AI-assisted drafting has been used, we disclose that assistance on the article.

Automated tools do not independently authorise publication. Final editorial responsibility remains with It Runs Fine.

Sources and attribution

We identify and link relevant sources used in our reporting, including official announcements, developer statements, patch notes, store listings and original reporting. Where information is unconfirmed or attributed to another publication, we aim to make that context clear.

Source selection, interpretation and editorial verification remain the responsibility of the editor.

Corrections and updates

Accuracy matters to us. If we identify a material factual error, we correct it and record a dated correction explaining what changed.

When an article receives a substantial update, we identify that update for readers.

Readers can request corrections by emailing hello@itrunsfine.com with a link to the article and a description of the concern.

Deals, advertising and commercial relationships

Where available, we provide Australian pricing in AUD and identify relevant regional restrictions or availability.

We do not currently operate an affiliate-link programme or display advertising on the website. If that changes, we will disclose relevant advertising, sponsorship and affiliate relationships.

Our own games and conflicts of interest

It Runs Fine also develops games, including Duskward and Red Harvest.

Updates about our own projects are presented as studio content and clearly identified as such. We do not publish independent reviews of games we develop ourselves.

We aim to distinguish editorial coverage from promotional or commercially interested content.

Community discussion

We do not currently operate article comments on the website. Readers can join the conversation through the It Runs Fine Discord community.
